The best WordPress event plug-in is:

It allows you to add ‘events’ to any blog post. So the blog post becomes the ‘more info’ listing and then can be viewed in various calendar formats. It’s powerful.
Here are 2 others with similar names that work a bit differently (I have not used them yet):

There is one that is focused on the needs of a touring performance group:

Or try this super simple option:

It just builds a widget showing blog entries with a custom field that give a time-out date.

I was wondering if you have some tips on the best wordpress themes out there? You can post article regarding importance of themes here. I heard many are searching it’s importance, why they have to have “on topic” themes for their site. I know, it’s understandable but mostly doesn’t take this into account. Thank you.

There are a number of other wordpress event management plugins that you might want to consider. The ones you highlighted are actually pretty weak compared to these ones that can take registrations, not just list events on a calendar.
