| Fandango, the largest online and phone movie ticketing service in North America, was already a leader in the industry with its website (www.fandango.com) when the company elected to offer its services on the telephone. The challenge for Fandango was building a large-scale, easy-to-use
telephone service for consumers that was both efficient and economical. Working with Tellme, Fandango became the sole provider of movie information and ticketing for Tellme’s 1-800-555-TELL service. Through this partnership, Tellme migrated Fandango’s web-based offerings to VoiceXML, providing a low-cost solution to Fandango. In turn, Fandango was quickly able to offer a superior movie phone service to customers and today operates nationwide movie ticketing on 1-800-FANDANGO.

After two years of success with 1-800-555-TELL, Fandango decided to take its phone service to the next level by working with Tellme to launch a Fandango-branded toll-free service. The new number, 1-800-FANDANGO, is unique in the remote ticketing industry in that it allows moviegoers to dial one toll-free number for movie tickets and information nationwide without any advertising. The new number utilizes the latest in speech and Web technology and, with streamlined call flows and user interface, customers are able to execute transactions in under two minutes — resulting in a higher conversion rate of callers to ticket purchases and the ultimate convenience for moviegoers. Today Fandango tickets to over 900 theaters and 10,000 screens, representing 70% of all theaters wired for remote ticketing — more than every other movie ticketing service combined. 2003 is sure to be a blockbuster year for Fandango! next: Listen
