Fandango, the largest online and phone movie ticketing service in North America, was already a leader in the industry with its website (www.fandango.com) when the company elected to offer its services on the telephone. The challenge for Fandango was building a large-scale, easy-to-use telephone service for consumers that was both efficient and economical. Working with Tellme, Fandango became the sole provider of movie information and ticketing for Tellme’s 1-800-555-TELL service. Through this partnership, Tellme migrated Fandango’s web-based offerings to VoiceXML, providing a low-cost solution to Fandango. In turn, Fandango was quickly able to offer a superior movie phone service to customers and today operates nationwide movie ticketing on 1-800-FANDANGO.
