The Gardens provides a welcoming to the city for visitors using
the Moscone Convention Center facilities. It is an open space oasis
for downtown workers and shoppers, providing recreational space
for local residents and creating a venue for multi-cultural facilities.
Several open spaces are available to rent for corporate events.
A detailed listing of venues follows. Tenting is a possibility for
all corporate rentals. Please contact
the Yerba Buena Arts & Events office (415-543-1718) for more
information.

The
Esplanade
A spectacular 5 1/2 acre urban garden features a grassy meadow,
trees, flowers, a redwood grove, performing areas, important public
art, a waterfall, a reflection pool, sitting areas and cafes with
indoor and alfresco service. The Esplanade can comfortably
accommodate up to 5,000 for a single event.
  
The Upper
Terrace of The Esplanade
This paved event space overlooks the Esplanade, the waterfall,
a lovely crescent pool and provides a stunning view of downtown
San Francisco. The terrace is a self-enclosed space perfect for
table seating for up to 500 people.

East Garden
An intimate 1/2 acre tree shaded garden is nestled between the
Center for the Arts buildings and the San Francisco Museum of Modern
Art. It features an extensive fountain, trees, flowers, a small
lawn and seating for up to 300 people.

Carousel Plaza and Rooftop
Garden
The Rooftop is a beautifully designed area of landscaped grass
and stone. The area is a wonderful spot for receptions and events,
particularly in the evening. Up to 1,500 people can fit in the Rooftop
for a single event.
