A quick checklist of “low hanging fruit” that I use as a guide for helping my clients promote their websites and grow their businesses.
- Start with your Title and Meta Description Tags
- Review your URL and File Names
- Promote and make links to your site. Start with Google Local Business Center/Maps and Yelp and Yahoo Local. Next, move on to setting up profiles on social networking sites (LinkedIn, Facebook) and other local business directories like Merchant Circle, InLocal and Insider Pages. Make sure you’re in popular online directories such as YellowPages.com and DexKnows.com.
- Sprinkle keywords throughout the text of your site
